The liberals have us again.. surely our military is weak and unable to handle all this at once.... Please note the aircraft carriers of the world. Now just stretch this visual representation to all aspects of our military. Thanks for the image goes to Globalsecurity.org at http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/world/carriers.htm Posted by Picasa

So many forget that a military's strength is not based on the simple number of "soldiers."

You make an all volunteer Armed Forces, and give them the best technology in the world.

Weak? Not a chance. Nice pick on the photo. Can you imagine the photos you could post to fire back at those in doubt of our military?

Which would you rather have:
-a handful of B-2 bombers
or
-1 million soldiers with RPGs?

What a funny picture. I'd like to know what percentage of the French ship is taken up by the galley, wine cellar, sculpture classrooms, and the art gallery.

mdconservative- It's more like 1 mil. civilians with 200,000 kalashnikovs that work 70% of the time.

One aspect about our military brought its sheer power to light for me. One Nimitz class carrier has more fire power than ALL but two countries in the world, The United States and Great Britain. That my friend is strength! Great blog. I appreciate the link and next Sunday will add you as a link and spotlight you as The Blog of the Week. Keep up the good work!

My 1 million soldiers was being generous. lol

The best thing is that we are adding to our power all the time. At one time the Soviet sub force was massive. Now the majority of their submarines sit rusting in dock. Torn apart and used as scrap.

When the US moth-balls ships we make sure they could be used again. If we need 'em, they just need to have parts re-installed. (Not an overnight event by any means). But so much of the old soviet force is not seaworthy.

Plus how often do you hear of these other naval forces rushing to the scene of natural disasters. While fighting a war we can still spare two to attend to flood relief in the region.
